Run by the city of Edinburgh council, the museum is full of pictures, personal memorability, etchings and busts, writers desks, printing press and many other rare manuscripts & collectables.

The Writers Museum is inside Lady Stairs House which was a masterwork from 1892 comissioned by Earl of Roseberry and was presented to the city as a museum in 1907.

This Museum is free of charge and highly recommended to anyone interested in poetry, literature and history.
