GOOSPIE HOUSE
Built around 1740 by the poet Allan
Ramsay (1686-1758).
The name Goose Pie House comes from its unusual eight-sided shape, similar
to a pie tin.
The
houses built around this area next to the castle are named Ramsay Garden after the poet.
Goosepie House is one of the oldest. It is situated at the front facing
Princes Street Gardens and can be seen by going down Ramsay Lane.
