CANT'S CLOSE

In early times this was a site to ecclesistical buildings and subsequently called Alexander Cant's Close.

The name is derived from the owners of Priestfield and St Giles' Grange who had residence here. It once ran down to the Cowgate and is now part of the Radisson SAS Hotel.
